As a result, I‘m a co-host on one of PBS’s longest-running cooking shows, America’s Test Kitchen, and my brand, SheChef Inc. is growing exponentially.
Throughout our coaching journey, Kandia has demonstrated genuine care for my success.
Her ability to actively listen, provide constructive feedback, and offer practical solutions created a safe and trusting environment for open dialogue and growth. Her encouragement during challenging times were instrumental in overcoming obstacles and achieving my goals.
Recently I read the first email I wrote to Kandia for help, and I had a good laugh. At a time, my life was seemingly collapsing, was beaten to the ground, and not just that, I was struggling with my self-esteem, and nothing made sense.
All I knew, I was a failure.
Kandia has held my hand, challenged me, helped me battle impostor syndrome, self-sabotage, failure & rejection. A few of the greatest lessons I have learned from her is: "We always have a chance to turn things around, to learn and grow."
I reached out to her when my voice was barely audible. Now, I am the loudest on those catch-up meetings and I can confidently ask questions about different things and in a composed manner. I wasn't able to do it last year.
Through our career coaching sessions, I have emerged with heightened confidence, a deeper self-awareness, improved communication skills, and a better understanding of how to effectively express my needs in the workplace. I am forever grateful for the connection I made with Kandia all those years ago, and I will continue to be a staunch supporter of everything she does.
